[La Dépêche] Lasserre-Pradère. An environmentally-friendly asphalt cycle path
At the beginning of July, Philippe Guyot, mayor of Plaisance-du-Touch and president of the community of communes, Le Grand Ouest Toulousain, Joseph Pellegrino, his deputy at the town hall and vice-president in charge of works for the intercommunality, Hervé Serniguet, mayor of Lasserre-Pradère and Victor De Almeida, deputy in charge of works, and Véronique Volto, departmental councillor, met to hand over work on the cycle path located near the tennis courts.
This section runs from Rue du Gex to the N224 trunk road, linking the commune with Lévignac and the Mérenvielle station. Hervé Serniguet is delighted: "A small commune like ours would not have been able to carry out this type of work on its own, and by working together we can make better progress".
Philippe Guyot explains: "We used a treatment technique that reuses the soil in place, thereby limiting environmental impact. To ensure the safety of users and preserve nocturnal biodiversity, we opted for LuminoKrom® technology, which exploits photoluminescence, a physical process that enables paint to recharge indefinitely in daylight or artificial lighting, without tiring".
