Innovative signage for safe mobility in Herblay
The town of Herblay-sur-Seine, in the Val-d'Oise region of France, recently installed luminous markings on one of its soft-traffic lanes, using LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint. Applied to the ground, this paint captures daylight and releases it at night, providing better visibility for cyclists and pedestrians. This innovation, which requires no power supply, is part of a sustainable and ecological approach, improving night-time safety while reducing environmental impact.
The installation of LuminoKrom® is part of a pilot project that could be extended to other roads in Val-d'Oise and France, given the positive response. The system not only enhances safety in poorly lit areas, but also encourages residents to opt for soft mobility, even after sunset. This choice of innovative signage demonstrates Herblay-sur-Seine's commitment to sustainable solutions adapted to the challenges of safety and ecological transition.
