New greenway between Ploemeur and Larmor-Plage equipped with LuminoKrom® for optimum night-time safety

The new greenway linking Plœmeur to Larmor-Plage was inaugurated on May 22, 2024. This 3.2 km route is dedicated to pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles, including bicycles and electric scooters. It is part of Lorient Agglomération's cycling plan, and aims to offer a safe and environmentally-friendly transport alternative.

The route preserves the environment by avoiding cutting down large trees and using our photoluminescent paint for night lighting. The greenway runs alongside the penitentiary and several key points in both communes (Larmor-Plage).

Ouest-France reports on the inauguration of the greenway between Ploemeur and Larmor-Plage, now equipped with LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint. The aim of the project is to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians at night, without the need for electric lighting. Thanks to LuminoKrom®, which stores daylight and restores it in the dark, this cycle path becomes visible even in the absence of artificial light, thus facilitating night-time travel in an environmentally-friendly way.

This project is part of a sustainable mobility approach designed to encourage residents to adopt more environmentally-friendly modes of transport. By choosing LuminoKrom® for its signage, the Ploemeur-Larmor-Plage greenway illustrates the commitment of local authorities to innovative solutions in terms of safety and energy transition.
