Illuminated markings for night-time travel in urban areas

A pedestrian route made visible in the dark

In autumn 2020, Talence town council and Bordeaux Métropole chose LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint to improve the legibility of the pedestrian walkway on rue Jean Racine, in an urban area with low traffic density. This marking helps users to get around at night, particularly in poorly lit areas, while enhancing their comfort and orientation.

A bright, sustainable solution without street lighting

Operating without electricity, LuminoKrom® captures light during the day and releases it for up to 10 hours in the dark, guaranteeing discreet, continuous and environmentally-friendly signage. This project illustrates a proactive approach to soft, safe mobility in the heart of the city, with no energy impact.
