Alor Gajah, a new LuminoKrom® phosphorescent marking application in Melaka

LuminoKrom® photoluminescent road paint technology has once again been used on a national road in Melaka, Malaysia. The project, supervised by JKR Melaka and carried out by applicator AHN VERTEX, involved double road markings on the Jln Negeri trunk road in Alor Gajah.

LuminoKrom® is a revolutionary innovation in road safety, capable of absorbing natural or artificial light during the day and releasing it at night. This process offers improved visibility of road markings without relying on public lighting, a major advantage for poorly lit or rural roads.

The application of LuminoKrom® on Jln Negeri reflects the local authority’s commitment to adopting innovative solutions to improve driver safety. The dual photoluminescent markings aim to reduce the number of night-time accidents and provide better orientation for road users, especially in low-light conditions.
