Amiens (80), a LuminoKrom photoluminescent cycle path
The metropolis of Amiens deploys LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint to secure the Greenway RD8
The cycle path, avenue de la Croix-Jourdain in Salouël (80), is equipped with LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint to secure night mobility for cyclists and pedestrians. This is the wooded portion of the green pedestrian / bicycle lane on the RD8. The luminescent marking was carried out by the Eiffage / AER teams over 600 meters in length on the two continuous edge strips with a 10cm strip.
At night, the LuminoKrom® luminescent marking acts as a light guide that outlines the path of the track, providing visibility up to 80 m at the start of the night, and 30 m at the end of the night, namely well beyond 8 meters of the lighting of a bicycle.
For the Metropolis of Amiens, the objective is twofold, Securing an unlit cycling area while respecting biodiversity. LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint harnesses renewable energy from the sun. It captures light during the day and lights up at night without any consumption of electricity or CO2 emissions. Its installation on infrastructure is quick and easy.
