Bemban – Serkam, new application of LuminoKrom® phosphorescent marking at Jasin

The new LuminoKrom® photoluminescent road paint application was recently installed on a national road in Jasin, Malaysia, marking a significant advance in night-time road safety. The project, managed by JKR Melaka, was carried out by applicator AHN VERTEX.

The project consisted of double continuous axial road markings on the Jln Bemban – Serkam M109 road. The special feature of LuminoKrom® is its ability to store natural or artificial light during the day and release it at night, ensuring optimum visibility of road markings without relying on public lighting. Our innovative technology aims to improve the safety of road users, particularly in rural or poorly lit areas.

The choice of Jasin for this pilot project underlines the local authority’s commitment to adopting innovative road safety solutions. By using LuminoKrom®, JKR Melaka hopes to reduce night-time accidents and provide better guidance for drivers.

This latest deployment in Malaysia could pave the way for wider adoption of this technology in other parts of the country, contributing to an overall improvement in road infrastructure and a reduction in the risks associated with night-time driving.
