LuminoKrom® ensures night-time safety and accident prevention for boats

A unique marking solution for improved boat visibility

On December 7, 2024, Jeff Coffey, our authorized distributor in Canada, chose to apply LuminoKrom® on a boat at Tyrell Bay Beach, Carriacou, Grenadines Island.

Thanks to the almond-green aqueous photoluminescent paint, the boat is now visible at night, reducing the risk of collision and ensuring its safety in the event of an emergency.

This innovative marking also acts as a theft deterrent, making it easy to identify the boat in low-light conditions. Applied by Vaughn Thomas and Juliana Coffey, this project illustrates the versatility of LuminoKrom® for marine applications.

A sustainable and effective solution for maritime safety

LuminoKrom® absorbs daylight and releases it for up to 10 hours at night, without the need for electricity. This environmentally-friendly technology guarantees the boat's visibility in the dark, enhancing the safety of operators, other sailors and emergency services.

This project demonstrates the company's commitment to safety and sustainability, highlighting how photoluminescent solutions can be adapted to maritime environments.
