Châteauroux, a photoluminescent bike path for night mobility
LuminoKrom®, photoluminescent painting on the Châteauroux cycle path (36)
The town of Châteauroux is deploying LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint to develop its cycle path, along the RD920. The bicycle layout, the marking has been carried out on the central strip. At night, the luminescent LuminoKrom® marking acts as a light guide that outlines the path of the track in a risk area devoid of public lighting.
This LuminoKrom® luminous paint harnesses solar energy, a renewable source of light. For the community of Châteauroux, the use of light markings does not entail any expense associated with the consumption of electricity. LuminoKrom® paint is made up of minerals that have the ability to store natural sunlight or artificial lighting to emit luminescence at night for more than 10 hours.
