Illuminated markings to guide cyclists on Chemin de la Mare
A safer cycle route, even at night
In April 2022, the City of Cherbourg-en-Cotentin reinforced the safety of soft mobility by equipping the Chemin de la Mare cycle path with LuminoKrom® photoluminescent marking.
Applied by Aximum, this marking gives cyclists optimum visibility of their route, particularly in poorly lit areas, thus limiting the risk of accidents and improving their comfort.
A sustainable solution to encourage cycling
LuminoKrom® technology captures daylight and restores it for 10 hours after dark, guaranteeing continuous visibility without energy consumption. This development illustrates Cherbourg-en-Cotentin's commitment to soft and sustainable mobility, offering cyclists a safe and environmentally-friendlyinfrastructure.
