Innovative marking to support the development of soft mobility
Reinforced signage on a strategic route
In November 2022, the Département de l'Essonne (CD 91) undertook to make safe a 3 km cycle path linking Pussay to Angerville. This project is fully in line with the departmental cycling plan, which aims to improve cycling infrastructure and encourage soft mobility.
Applied by Aximum, LuminoKrom® photoluminescent marking gives cyclists enhanced visibility, making night-time journeys easier and reducing the risk of accidents.
A sustainable alternative for a safer cycling network
LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours at night, guaranteeing energy-free night-time signage. This installation marks CD Essonne's strong commitment to soft and sustainable mobility, while contributing to the safety of the département's cycle network.
"Since its creation, people have been less apprehensive about taking their bikes to get around, even at night, because they know they'll be able to find their way easily thanks to the markings".
Jean-Luc, president of the Angerville cycloclub
