Photoluminescent markings to guide users along the RN57

Increased visibility for cyclists and pedestrians at night

In September 2021, Greater Besançon undertook to make a 900-meter-long greenway along the RN57 safer. Thanks to the application of LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint by Global Signalisation, users now benefit from markings that are visible at night, improving their safety on this busy road.

This marking provides continuous guidance, even in unlit areas, offering pedestrians and cyclists a safer, more comfortable journey.

A sustainable, environmentally-friendly solution

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and restores it for 10 hours in the dark, guaranteeing visibility without energy consumption. This project illustrates Greater Besançon's commitment to sustainable and safe infrastructures, supporting soft mobility while reducing environmental impact.
