LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint registered in Gujan-Mestras
Creation of a safe bicycle path
In June 2021, the commune of Gujan-Mestras, located on the Arcachon basin, undertook work to improve the safety of cyclists on a path running alongside the D650 departmental road. LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint was applied by Aximum over a 2 kilometer section, including axial markings and bicycle pictograms.
This marking is designed to provide effective light guidance, particularly in areas where there is no street lighting, enhancing visibility and safety for users.
An innovative solution for cycling infrastructure
LuminoKrom® paint captures natural or artificial light during the day and releases it at night, giving cyclists enhanced visibility on stretches of road with no street lighting. This luminous marking facilitates orientation, enabling users to anticipate bends and obstacles, and helps reduce the risk of night-time accidents.
What's more, by eliminating the need for artificial lighting, our technology helps to protect the environment by reducing light pollution and energy consumption.
