Jalan Parit, a new application for LuminoKrom® phosphorescent marking in Johor

The last application in Malaysia for 2023, our LuminoKrom® photoluminescent road marking has been applied in the Johor region of Malaysia. The project, contracted by JKR Pontian, was carried out by applicator AHN VERTEX on the Jalan Parit Panjang, J107 (B) national road in Pontian.

LuminoKrom® is a major innovation in road safety, using a photoluminescent paint capable of absorbing light during the day and releasing it at night. This technology offers improved visibility of road markings, independent of street lighting, which is particularly beneficial for poorly lit or rural areas.

The dual road markings are designed to improve driver safety by reducing the risk of night-time accidents and providing better orientation in low-light conditions. JKR Pontian’s initiative reflects their commitment to adopting cutting-edge solutions to ensure the safety of road users.

The new application of LuminoKrom® in Johor demonstrates the effectiveness and benefits of this technology. Its success could encourage its deployment in other parts of Malaysia, contributing to the overall improvement of road infrastructure and safer night-time driving.
