Photoluminescent markings to guide cyclists in complete safety
Better visibility for a busy cycle route
In July 2023, the Metropole Européenne de Lille chose LuminoKrom® to secure a cycle path along the N41 near Herlies, between rue Forte and the traffic circle with the M22 / rue de la Croix.
Applied by Aximum, this photoluminescent axial guidance marking enables cyclists to better identify their route, particularly in low-light conditions, and thus reduces the risk of night-time accidents.
A sustainable solution for safe cycling infrastructure
LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for up to 10 hours at night, ensuring efficient signage without energy consumption. This development is fully in line with the policy of the European Metropolis of Lille, which aims to develop safe and eco-responsible infrastructures to encourage soft mobility.
"You can follow the white dotted lines, it's very reassuring for the cyclist to know where he's riding".
Pascal Leclerq, Association Droit au vélo (ADAV).
