LuminoKrom® luminescent paint applied for the third time in Mèze
LuminoKrom® luminescent paint continues to be rolled out in Mèze.
In 2022, the town of Mèze is stepping up its efforts in terms of sustainable urban development with the third application of LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint. This time, following on from the application on the cycle path, the innovation has been applied to the nosings of the steps on the main Yves Piétrasanta esplanade, a central location much frequented by residents and visitors alike. This project was carried out directly by the city’s departments, demonstrating the city’s commitment to eco-responsible solutions.
Our innovative marking captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours after dark, illuminating the esplanade steps without consuming electricity or emitting CO2. The green light emitted by LuminoKrom® makes it possible to clearly distinguish the contours of the steps, increasing safety and comfort for all pedestrian users at night. This increased visibility is particularly valuable at night-time gatherings, allowing people to move around the space with confidence, without fear of changes in level in the dark.
Mèze’s initiative is part of a wider drive to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, reflecting the town’s desire to promote environmentally-friendly practices while improving the quality of urban life.
