Illuminated markings to make the path along the D332 safer for cyclists

Night-visible markings for a safe cycling route

In July 2021, Grand Narbonne reinforced the safety of the cycle path along the D332, from the Salt traffic circle to the town center, with the application of LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint.

Produced by Eiffage and Moliner Signalisation, this marking ensures optimum night-time visibility, enabling cyclists to find their way easily even in low-light conditions. This enhances user comfort and safety, particularly on suburban routes that are often poorly lit.

A sustainable solution for cycling infrastructure

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and restores it for 10 hours at night, providing continuous visibility with no electricity consumption. This project is in line with Grand Narbonne's commitment to promoting soft mobility while reducing the environmental impact of its infrastructure.

Thanks to this innovative technology, the local authority is improving cyclists' safety while respecting its commitment to sustainable development.
