LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint used on the local cycle path between 2 towns in Morbihan

In June 2024, the municipalities of Larmor-Plage and Plœmeur joined forces to improve the safety and visibility of a strategic 3.2 km greenway, making it easier to travel between the two towns. The project included the installation of LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings along the route, as well as the addition of stop and yield signs, optimising safety for all users.

The green lane, which runs from the Plœmeur penitentiary centre to various points of interest such as Vraie-Croix, Keradehuen, Maison Rouge and the Ar Menez district, now benefits from illuminated markings that capture daylight and restore it at night. This technology ensures continuous, long-lasting visibility, which is particularly crucial in less well-lit areas, increasing safety during low-light hours.

This luminescent marking is particularly significant as it not only enhances the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, but also encourages the use of this greenway for commuting and recreational activities. The initiative demonstrates the commitment of the communes of Larmor-Plage and Plœmeur to promoting sustainable and innovative solutions for the development of their transport infrastructure.
