Illuminated markings for enhanced safety

On October 1, 2024, Glen Campbell initiated a groundbreaking project in Frosses, County Donegal, Ireland. A multi-purpose lane was laid out using LuminoKrom® luminescent markings to provide optimum safety for users, even in the dead of night.

This initiative is the first application of our photoluminescent paint in Ireland, demonstrating its effectiveness in guiding soft mobility and preventing night-time accidents.

An innovative, environmentally-friendly solution

Thanks to LuminoKrom® technology, which captures daylight to restore it for up to 10 hours in the dark, this road marking ensures visibility without the need for electric lighting. This eco-responsible solution reduces energy costs and CO₂ emissions, while meeting the growing need for safety in public spaces. This project illustrates a significant step forward for sustainable infrastructure in Ireland.
