Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, LuminoKrom® luminescent road marking in Malaysia

In June 2024, our LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint was applied for the first time on Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari, marking another step forward in improving road safety in Malaysia. The project, managed by JKR Petaling, was carried out by applicator AHN VERTEX on the B49 road.

The works consisted of continuous double marking, using innovative LuminoKrom® technology. This photoluminescent paint absorbs natural light during the day and restores it at night, guaranteeing increased visibility of the markings without the need for additional street lighting. This feature is particularly beneficial for poorly lit roads, significantly improving road user safety.

The application of LuminoKrom® on Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari reflects JKR Petaling’s commitment to adopting advanced innovative solutions to improve road safety. The continuous double marking provides better lane delineation and clear guidance for drivers, reducing the risk of accidents, especially during low-light hours.
