Pessac, the photoluminescent paint on concrete GBA separators
Securing a risk area of GBA concrete separators using the Photoluminescent LuminoKrom marking in Pessac (33)
The town of Pessac in Bordeaux Métropole is developing a cycle area with LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint. The luminescent markings are placed vertically on the GBA concrete separators, at the edge of a 1 km cycle path.
The use of LuminoKrom photoluminescent paint is part of the general policy of the City of Pessac, which is concerned about the environment. In order not to disturb the flora and fauna and to save energy, it decided on June 24, 2018 that the 350 km of roads would no longer be lit between 1 and 5 a.m.
Photoluminescent paint is an attractive eco-sustainable alternative to ensure continuity during extinction phases. As soon as night falls, the LuminoKrom® marking lights up and takes over without any consumption of electricity.
