Illuminated markers to guide cyclists and pedestrians along the Meuse River

A safer bicycle and pedestrian route

In July 2022, the Mairie de Prix-lès-Mézières undertook the construction of a 1 km asphalt greenway linking Charleville to Prix-lès-Mézières on the banks of the Meuse river. The path, which runs from the rue de Mézières to the freeway bridge near the exhibition center, has been fitted with LuminoKrom® photoluminescent marking in a 10 cm T3 discontinuous strip.

Applied by Colas subcontractor Tireligne, this marking gives cyclists and pedestrians a better view of their route at night, guaranteeing greater safety on this busy thoroughfare.

A sustainable solution for natural, safe landscaping

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it up to 10 hours after dark, providing energy-saving signage. The system blends perfectly into the natural environment of the Meuse river, helping to promote soft mobility while limiting ecological impact. The Prix-lès-Mézières town council is thus reinforcing its commitment to modern, safe and environmentally-friendly infrastructures.
