A safer, more visible pedestrian walkway at night

In June 2024, the commune of Veigy-Foncenex, in collaboration with Colas and Aximum, carried out a project to improve pedestrian safety in the commune.

The pedestrian walkway, located in a residential area, now benefits from night-time luminous markings using LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint technology.

This marking allows users to circulate in complete safety, even in the absence of street lighting, by ensuring optimum visibility of pedestrian routes.

A sustainable solution for secure infrastructures

LuminoKrom® paint captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours at night, guaranteeing night-time visibility without electricity consumption or CO₂ emissions. This innovative technology meets the challenges of energy transition while enhancing the safety of urban infrastructures.
