Innovative markings to guide cyclists safely at night

Reinforced signage for urban soft mobility

In August 2023, the City of Tallinn undertook the creation and development of a new cycle path to make cycling safer, especially at night.

Applied by KiirWarren.KL OÜ, LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings give cyclists better visibility, reducing the risk of accidents and improving their comfort of movement on this dedicated lane.

A sustainable alternative for a greener city

LuminoKrom® captures daylight and releases it for 10 hours at night, providing energy-saving night-time signage. This project is fully in line with Tallinn's focus on modern, safe and environmentally-friendly cycling infrastructure, which encourages the use of bicycles in the city.
