Valbonne in Alpes-Maritimes, LuminoKrom® photoluminescent marking
LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint registered in the Alpes-Maritimes
A project to secure a new cycle path
In June 2021, the Conseil Départemental des Alpes-Maritimes will be signposting a new 2 km cycle path near Valbonne, along the D98 between the Bouillides roundabout and the IDRAC Campus in Nice. To enhance cyclists' safety, LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint was applied by Azuroute.
This innovative marking is designed to improve night-time visibility of the runway, providing light guidance for users, particularly in areas without street lighting.
The advantages of LuminoKrom®: an innovative, environmentally-friendly solution
LuminoKrom® photoluminescent paint charges with natural or artificial light during the day and restores it at night, offering visibility for up to 10 hours in the dark without electricity consumption or CO₂ emissions. This technology improves user safety by making infrastructures more visible at night, while reducing light pollution. What's more, it's quick and easy to apply, comparable to conventional road paint, making it an economical and sustainable solution for local authorities wishing to make their developments safer in a responsible way.
