As part of its efforts to improve cycling infrastructure, in 2024 Perpignan Métropole deployed LuminoKrom® photoluminescent markings on the path linking Villeneuve-de-la-Raho to Bages. Applied by Aximum, this marking provides optimum night-time visibility, guiding cyclists even in the absence of street lighting.

This enhances user comfort and safety on this busy route.

A sustainable solution for trouble-free mobility

Thanks to LuminoKrom® technology, this track is visible for up to 10 hours after dark, without consuming any energy. This project is part of a sustainable mobility approach, reducing dependence on artificial lighting while making night-time travel safer.

Perpignan Métropole is thus demonstrating its commitment to innovative and environmentally-friendly cycling infrastructure.
