Innovative marking to ensure visibility at intersections on the cycle path

Safe beaconing for passages in front of homes

In July 2022, the Commune de Fontenay-le-Comte, under the supervision of the Mairie de Mèze, equipped a cycle path linking the rue des Adieux to the rue Marcel Pagnol (and a section between the 19-Mars-1962 traffic circle) with 50x50 cm photoluminescent cedez-le-passage markings.

These markings, placed in front of residential garages, enable cyclists to better identify intersections and signal their right of way to local residents, thus reducing the risk of traffic conflicts.

A night-visible, long-lasting solution

Thanks to LuminoKrom® , these markings absorb daylight and restore it for up to 10 hours at night, guaranteeing continuous signage without energy consumption. This project is fully in line with Fontenay-le-Comte's commitment to improving the safety of soft mobility, while promoting sustainable and innovative solutions for its cycling infrastructure.
